8/10
We had a brief overnight stay in Brunei. Got in relatively late (6pm) and left pretty early the next morning (8am), so it wasn't a long extended stay. The area around the hotel was a bit quiet, with not much to do at night, but it's a relatively easy walkable distance to the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, which takes about 15 minutes. Also, it is very close to the Royal Regalia Museum, in case you want to visit (we didn't have time...)
In terms of the hotel, the decor is a little dated, with brown and orange colour schemes, but it was fully functional and served its purpose. It's not fancy 5-star, but reasonable for a 4-star. Check-in and check-out were quick and painless, and the friendly staff greeted us with smiles.
We ended up getting the breakfast buffet, which had a nice assortment of food choices, including Western breakfasts as well as Malaysian and Bruneian options. A good variety of pastries and cheeses is also available.
In terms of location, it's a drive from the airport (15 minutes), but it was pretty painless as it's mostly highways, same with our return to the airport the next morning.
Overall, I can't complain about anything regarding the Radisson. We paid a reasonable price for the stay and thought it was good value for money. Just don't expect absolute luxury. If we return to Brunei for a stopover or a future visit, I'd stay at the Radisson again.
