"The garden outside the hotel was very well maintained. We had a basement room which was adequate/basic.but the room was very clean. The guy on the reception was extremely helpful and very easy to talk to. Breakfast was very nice; fruit juices, fruit, croissants, cereals, coffee/tea and then a cooked full English breakfast."
"Spacious clean rooms, beautiful setting. Bar and restaurant excellent. The hotel is fabulous and beautifully decorated. Stylish but homely. Lovely staff especially Oliver and Liam in the bar and Aziz and Tina at breakfast."
"Stayed with my 2 dogs. Had a ground floor room not far from the lobby which made for easy access. Room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Price was very competitive but disappointed with the extra money charged for each dog. I realise that some owners are not very responsible but charging for each dog seems excessive."
"Great location for attempting The Three Peaks Challenge (hiking possible straight from the premises’ car park). Really friendly staff, attentive and very helpful. Cheap and cheerful accommodation - don’t forget that the price includes continental breakfast, which is more than generous - so a real bargain. Perhaps a small waste bin in the rooms and a hook on the back of the toilet door would help. Rooms were very clean and tidy but the Inn itself could perhaps be a little cleaner (the windows, “sticky” tables). All in all, very good for the price."
"Hotel receptionist didn’t offer any information about the hotel - it had to be asked and although she was polite it wasn’t a warm welcome
The hotel room was great but looking a little dated, plus some of the bedroom furniture needs refreshing. The same for the TVs which were particularly small for the size of room.
However excellent carpets, bed, towels and view plus exceptionally reasonable price.
The restaurant was excellent with good service, hot food and a warm welcome."
"Really friendly staff in the Hotel pub.
We only stayed a single night and ate both our evening meal and had a breakfast in the morning. This was all to a very good standard."
