"Our experience at TRYP by Wyndham Mayagüez was extremely disappointing. While the hotel itself looks decent, the service was unacceptable and made our stay very frustrating. On the first night, our room had no water. We immediately reported the issue to Louis at the front desk, who told us maintenance would come, but no one ever arrived. There was no follow-up call, no update, and no effort made to check whether the issue had been resolved. 🚫 The next day, our room was not cleaned at all. When we asked about it, we were told they were short-staffed, but no one informed us in advance. The response from the front desk was cold and dismissive, with no apology or attempt to accommodate the inconvenience. Another constant issue was the parking garage gate. Every time we returned to the hotel, the gate remained closed and did not open automatically. We repeatedly had to get out of the car and ask the front desk to manually open it because staff were not paying attention. 🚗 Basic communication, responsiveness, and guest service were clearly lacking throughout our stay. For the price paid, this level of service is unacceptable. We would not stay here again and cannot recommend this hotel."

"The hotel was clean, and the staff was very friendly. I have to say the staff made the visit all worth a while. Everyone from the front desk to the maids to the staff at the Pisces restaurant was super friendly and accommodating to me and my family. They have a private gate that leads straight to the beach, which was very accommodating. My kids enjoyed the pool and it was always clean. The only area I could see improvement for was the fitness facility. They were pretty much missing all of their dumbbells and the equipment did not live up to expectation. Other than that, it is a wonderful place to stay."

"The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. It may not be modern yet provides all the comforts and needs. Has a boutique style courtyard and the staff are excellent and attentive. It’s away from the loud bar scene in center of town yet a walkable distance to get there. Would definitely stay there again."

"Sheets odor weren’t the best, breakfast it’s expensive at least to be just an “American breakfast”. Thought it was buffet. Otherwise, pretty quiet and safe. Has a lot of restaurants nearby, a water park 30 mins away and a shopping court. "

"Nice property. Too many restrictions related to check in and check out times related to lack of personnel working late or too early. No food alternatives after 8 pm or before 8 am. "
