"Great place for a family - beach within a short walking distance, several pools and a playground to keep kids entertained. Staff are lovely, we had a great stay, our second time there. "I don’t know anything about the property. I booked the place by mistake via Expedia, and neither the hotel nor Expedia offered any financial relief. It cost 3 days/nights. Instead of the hotel trying to track me down, it was simpler to just register me as a no show and charge for 3 nights."

"Kitchen not well equipped for cooking, just warming up or cooking eggs, very few utensils and no oven. Cleaning staff friendly but not English speaking. Although Expedia stated that a hair drier available on request, we requested one and were told by the reception person that it was not available! Really disappointing, but parking very easy and location ok to walk to oldtown/ center town, although not always through sidewalks, watch the traffic and walk fast. "

"The ultimate escape to real luxury with genuinely fine people. I loved the restored 19th-century palace with very spacious and sleek bedrooms that opened up to individual, private patios fronted by lovely gardens and singing birds. The swimming pool was fresh water, and if you got chilly in the spring weather you could jump into the steam room or sauna. Views of the countryside from the terraces were spectacular.

"A lovely hotel; all the staff were efficient and friendly. We felt welcomed and valued as guests with water, wine and a fruit plate on arrival ( late night arrival).
Sonia, the golf concierge, was superb; arranging golf booking but also answering all my questions about club hire etc… pre-arrival. She is an asset to the hotel.
The grounds are wonderful and maintained well. Pools are clean with one heated. Location between beach and marina offers options for walks.
