"We had a 1 hr wait for our room to be ready .spacious and clean but tatty and needing redecorating .wallpaper hanging off the walls shabby furniture.
Towels and bedding good.
below average standard.
Bank Holiday weekend booked fora spa weekend and the salon was shut the entire time of our stay. Disappointing.
I could not recommend this hotel

"The indoor pool was quite small and tended to be very busy with children, so it wasn’t the most relaxing experience. However, the room itself was spacious and very comfortable, with Molton Brown toiletries provided, and having a bath in the room was a lovely touch. The cooked breakfast was also excellent and really enjoyable each morning.
That said, I do think the property could benefit from some general maintenance and updating in certain areas."

"Everything was as usual really lovely. Unfortunately that Sunday happened to be the coldest and when l arrived the room was freezing cold. Staff tried their best to rectify the situation but to no avail.
After an hour or more Lady Den brought me an extra quilt so l can use. The lady was a God sent she managed to get the temperature to at least 17 and it made a real difference. Overall l ended up with a good night in a warm place. Staff are so helpful at The Hamilton Arms."

"We recently stayed at this hotel after breaking down on our journey. Unfortunately, we couldn’t make our first night and phoned the hotel to explain the situation. The woman we spoke to didn’t seem very interested or concerned, and we were disappointed that nobody even asked if we were okay given the circumstances.
When we finally arrived the following evening around 5:30pm, the staff there were friendly and welcoming, and the stay itself was pleasant. However, the lack of empathy and customer...

"After a shaky start the stay at Great Fosters was good. The hotel was full on my first night and unfortunately the room is been allocated had several issues. The staff were unable to move rooms but reassured me I'd be moved first thing in the morning. The second room was much better and the change over was handled well. A good measure of a hotel is how they handle when things go wrong, and the team at Great Fosters stepped up and made it right.
The other aspects of Great Fosters are excellent....
