"It was wonderful to stay in their home. They manage their guesthouse professionally, with a friendly breakfast service with local jams and honey. They seemed genuinely concerned about our well-being during our stay. The room was clean and with old-style amenities that seem to have disappeared from French hotels, like the washcloths for the showers and even just tissue paper. "

"I stayed there on business as I did not want to stay in Paris central, a very quaint little hotel with lovely helpful staff. Surrounding amenities are sparse but there is a nice little bar with attached shop, again friendly staff. I did eat in the hotel the first night and was given lovely homemade food with a beer. Breakfast is as expected with lovely warm bread and butter. Wi-Fi is hit/miss however on my second evening I was given a dongle for my room that worked perfectly well for my needs."

"This chateau is managed by a gracious French couple, Jean-Jacques and his wife Francine. They were exceptionally friendly and attentive to our needs, as visiting Americans arriving after an unexpectedly long day of travel from London, across the Channel from Dover to Calais, and then by our local driver, who was booked through the excellent Private Tours of England. I'll admit that we weren't as prepared as we might have been for our first night in France. Jean-Jacques and Francine spoke only...
