I want to start by mentioning our host was actually hospitalized with a health issue when we were visiting, so we just appreciated her efforts to make sure we could get in and have a place to stay -- I'm sure there might have been some extra small touches under different circumstances.
Good: spacious shared spaces, big yard, would be nice outdoor living space if the weather cooperated. Very functional kitchen space. Lots of paved parking. Easy to get to town or the highway.
Keep in mind: the trundle bed and futon are in what is basically a finished off sunroom- type area with its own heating system -- fine for older kids, but not much privacy. The home is decorated with a LOT of knick knacks, occasional tables, etc. and limited room to maneuver in two of the bedrooms. As our group had 2 toddlers and 2 seniors, we felt the need to move quite a few things out of the way when we first got there. If planning to stay with a group big enough to utilize all the sleeping accommodations, do notice (as the listing clearly indicates) that there are just 1 1/2 baths meaning a single tub/shower. The coffee pot wasn't the right one for the machine, but we simply made do by brewing into a saucepan.
Disappointment: the property has somewhat distant views of both the river and inlet, but not access to either. As a birder, I had hoped for that, and felt the listing suggested it was right along the water. Bathroom floor not clean, but I assume that isn't typical.
