"Prepaid for two queen beds, instead got a bed and an uncomfortable cot. Breakfast had nothing hot, just cheap blueberry muffins, a little fruit, and the most basic grab'n'go items you can think of. The grounds felt very unsafe, folks were smoking weed and more all over the property. It's the first time I've felt unsafe at a hotel in a long time. I almost never leave Expedia reviews, but I had to do so this time. I can at least say the folks working at the desk were nice. I'll never stay here again, this one was a one and done. If we don't feel safe, that's too much to overcome."

"Mount Sequoyah is a beautiful place to stay. My partner and I were in town for a wedding weekend and wanted something a bit more interesting than your average hotel. Mount Sequoyah gave us the opportunity to unwind and watch the sunset from their lookout spot, walk peacefully and enjoy the grounds and the art, and sit on our porch and experience the wildlife. A mama doe and two spotted babies walked very close to our cabin. Our first night, we did not have warm water for showers, I am unsure what that was from, but the following morning it was available. We did not have the opportunity to enjoy the pool, but it looked well taken care of. We were able to get rideshares from and to the property fairly easy from Sassafras Vineyard. Mount Sequoyah is close to lots of activities and easy to access once you get the lay of the land. We would recommend this spot to other travelers and will consider it for any future trips to Fayetteville."

"I thought the hotel was nice and in a great location. The poor woman at check in was so overwhelmed with the amount of people checking in that it was one of the worst check in experiences that I’ve had. She was very nice and competent but they really should have had additional help for her. On a side note I was really disappointed in the water pressure in our room and the water in the sinks never got hot or warm even."

"I’ve stayed in rundown motels and I know what to expect and what I’m getting for my money. But this place was unacceptable and for around $90 a night it’s upsetting. There were so many bugs in my room. And everything was extremely dirty. When I first got to my room I killed around 20 bugs crawling on the floor, walls, countertop, and fridge door. I was grossed out but gave the place a chance. When I got back to my room later in the evening and turned the lights on to discover tons of bugs crawling all over my bed and my kids bed I quickly packed up and left to stay elsewhere. I contacted the hotel and they gave a full refund without any hassle which was appreciated and that was the best part about the whole experience."
