"Exceptionally friendly staff in a quaint and cozy facility. We stayed the night after doing a mud bath at the spa in the afternoon, which allowed us to use the heated spas and pools after the larger crowds of day spa visitors had departed. Facility is also an easy walk to the main downtown street (8-10 min) for restaurants and shopping. We absolutely plan to return!"

The vintage part is the Victorian era wooden floors, doors, and trim, screen door to a shared balcony overlooking the main street in Calistoga, plus carrying your bags up the stairs (no elevator), and sharing the bathroom with other guests (no in-room restroom or shower) -- just like you would have if you were traveling 100 years ago when this hotel was new. "We loved this little inn! It’s in a perfect location which makes for an easy walk to all the restaurants on Lincoln. The room we stayed in (St Helena) was the perfect size and had a huge jacuzzi bathtub, which we used one of the nights we stayed. Unfortunately, the bathroom was freezing cold because of the attic door being inside and there is no proper shower in the room so that was one negative.
