"The room was clean and comfortable. The free breakfast had a nice variety to choose from, not just a Continental like some other free breakfast hotels. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty but it didn't prevent me from doing what I wanted. And, the staff were all very nice and accommodating!"

"A/C not working properly as room was hot and muggy. Complained and they gave us a very noisy box fan and couldn't sleep or watch tv with it on. Tv only worked properly some of the time. Had construction noise next or under our room that was extremely loud which started up every morning by about 8am.Room was also right above trash bins which created more racket. Indoor swimming pool was tiny and chlorine smell was unbearable. Our suite was the smallest we've ever stayed in. Had to call for a hair dryer. We would expect a fair amount of compensation from Expedia as upon checkout they told us to call you and then you call the hotel and they would confirm our very valid complaints. There is absolutely no comparison between San Rafael and Scottsdale Embassy Suites as we've never had any problems in Scottsdale. Thanks for your consideration concerning this matter and would expect your prompt attention to our concerns. Sincerely, Larry and Kathryn Yorty"

"The location of this motel is fantastic. Very close to the beautiful promenade and to the restaurant and boutiques quarters. There’s a grocery store right across the street. The pool is nice although not very big and with little shade. But in the end it is a motel and not a hotel and is is due for some TLC. The nightly fee was high."
