"this place is perfect clean, spacious room, economic and a walking distance to many things in downtown Detroit. we love it! the only suggestion that i can give is that they need a security guard outside of the hotel as the homeless follows you to the entrance of the hotel, can be stressful. other than that is excellent ! thanks!"

"It’s an older place but the room was fine. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and the shuttle to and from downtown was a bonus as we were in town for a concert at Ford Field and didn’t have to worry about parking. Overall a good experience. "

"The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. The room was not ready at the 3pm check in and we waited about 40 minutes for a clean room to be ready. Also, they gave us a hassle and required us to put down a deposit down for checking in at 20 years old but the site clearly stated minimum age for check in was 18. First and last time we will stay here when downtown."

Our room and the entire first floor of common areas were inviting, well-appointed, art-forward and yet commodious. Breakfast at Warda was “next level” and we appreciated having the vouchers for breakfast each day. Would recommend ALEO to anyone and would stay there again."

"Detroit is full of beautiful old buildings and this is a great one, run by the same woman who worked on its renovation. I stayed in the Dahlia room, which has a jacuzzi and lovely fireplace. The bed was extremely comfortable. Morning coffee is served in a gorgeous parlor and solarium, and the proprietors are very attentive and helpful. "
