Check-in took so long, and ultimately, I was not allowed to check in. I initially refused to pay the 20 extra per person because Expedia defaults to 2+ in the search box and was not expecting to be charged this hidden fee. Ultimately, I agreed to pay for both of my kids, but said I would leave a review because I felt completely bamboozled, to which point the manager did not allow me to pay, nor check in. He then threatened to call the cops when I said that he had to refund my payment if he wasn't going to allow me to check in. Calling the cops during the biggest snowstorm of the decade because of a dispute like this is completely uncalled for, so hopefully I can save someone the trouble of even thinking about staying there. This was hands down the worst hotel check in experienve of my life, and avg 100 days in a hotel per year for the last 25 years. Avoid this place at all costs! I've stayed here before, and it's easily the dankiest place in the Manchester area (but often the cheapest), which is what we were looking for due to a last-minute booking/snowstorm. We ended up staying at the Hampton Inn, which was eons better (with a pool and hot tub) for less money. Honestly, the (perceived) money saved in booking this cheap motel was not worth the trouble and aggravation of dealing with a terrible human being.
