"Winter Gardens Hotel Bergamo I wish to thank the hotel and its staff for being very sympathetic and accommodating regarding my reservation. Circumstances changed my arrival time forcing me to arrive earlier than expected. I was picked up at the airport and brought to the hotel which is a 10 minute journey. After check in I went to the room which was spotlessly clean and well provided . It had both a mini refrigerator, large screen smart TV as well as coffee/tea facilities and a digital safe. The SPA was excellent (you need to pre-book this as well as the airport shuttle). The restaurant was really comfortable and the food excellent. I therefore have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to other prospective guests."

"The hotel is new, modern, and absolutely beautiful. However, it is located far from the city centre, and we have to take a streetcar and a bus to get there. The breakfast was excellent, and our room 103 was spacious with two gorgeous terraces. However, this beautiful room has a tiny shower, which is difficult to use even for petite women like me. I was surprised that such a large project could have made this architectural mistake."

"The hotel location is not difficult to reach if you know the town; however, there are no indications on the road and during the week-end you can get trapped into heavy pedestrian traffic which make you think you are in an area with no traffic allowed. Parking and garage indications are not provided by the hotel with a map, making it difficult to determine the distance from the hotel. The message received two days in advance of staying through Expedia was not helpful and my reply was not made accessible to the hotel staff (I checked with the staff). Once that miraculously you have been able to park your car, it is easy to obtain the resident permit to be exposed in the car; however, if you have found the spot far from the hotel you need to reach it again. The breakfast is uneven with some excellent selections and others less so. The apple pie is in the former group, and in the latter group are the orange juice not freshly squeezed and the avocado/smoked salmon toast, a tartine with the ingredients just one on top of the other. The room is spotless and the shower comfortable but the toilet paper of poor quality..."

"We booked this hotel because it had a pool. Sadly there is a charge of 45 euros pp to get access to this. If we had known this we would have booked elsewhere. Room was clean v comfy beds"

"Small hotel connected to a great restaurant. All staff very friendly and multi lingual. Able to leave bags at reception. Beautiful terrace and garden restaurant - hotel residents get a discount. Amazing location right next to Piazza Vecchia. Superior rooms basic but adequate."
