"The staff at the front desk was extra helpful especially the tall gentleman with the beard. Didn’t get his name. Marius at the bar upstairs was very helpful and friendly as well. It was close to the downtown without too much of a walk and very close to the train station which worked for us going to Oslo on Sunday."

"This is a perfectly placed hotel within easy walking distance of the popular Bergen tourist attractions (fish market, Bryggen and the Fløibanen funicular). The staff were really lovely, helpful and surprisingly calming (we made it, our luggage did not, and the staff reassured us with ease). The room was warm, comfortable and clean. A little dark but the mirror in the well lit bathroom did not steam so a darker room was not a problem and actually quite pleasant. Breakfast was wonderful, plentiful and widely varied. One vegetarian and one meat eater and we both ate well. Checkout was easy and they stored our luggage (which had now arrived) while we went out on a fjord cruise. I would heartily recommend a stay in this delightful hotel."
