"The balcony room was extremely spacious, especially for an inner city hotel. Very sweet and helpful staff. Good central location, however I feel there are nicer parts of town to stay. Watch out for scammers trying to get donation for a deaf school!"

"When I walked through the door last Wednesday afternoon, I was greeted with “Welcome back!” So, it was reassuring that I’d made the right choice in returning to GINN City & Lounge Yorck Berlin, after a year. That greeting was so genuine and most appreciated. Then, throughout my 5 night stay, I enjoyed lovely interactions with so many staff members. "Room wasn’t as clean as I’d have liked - hairs in the shower and sink on arrival. I stayed in one of the old rooms (not the newly renovated ones) so the decor was dated but acceptable. The hotel has major renovations work going on so the hallways are dusty and the construction noise is very loud. You have to pay an extra EUR 15 per person per day to use the sauna. Security guard assisted me with a sticky door then accessed my personal details (I didn’t give these) and added me on Facebook....

"First time staying at this hotel and in Berlin so im very thankful for the staff being kind and professional throughout our stay. The room was very clean and has awesome toiletries provided. The AC wasn't as cold as we wanted so we had to open the windows which was unfortunate since with was really loud outside both day and night. Other than that, we had an amazing stay. "Das Zimmer mit angrenzendem Schlafzimmer war top. Alles war sehr sauber und in einem guten Zustand. Wir hatten einen medizinischen Notfall und es wurde sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert. Die unmittelbare Nähe (ca.350 Meter) zum Checkpoint Charly ist ei weiterer Pluspunkt."

"This is a good hotel for the price! It’s a 9 min walk to the Hbf train station, but it’s definitely a train ride (or a very long walk) to any attractions from this location. There are a few restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores nearby. And there is an unmarked elevator in the building (tucked away in the back corner of the entryway). "Bathroom was up to date as well as kitchen. washer dryer was odd had to manually change bw wash rinse and spin. Carpets sofa and cushions need update — made room look feel very dingy. BUT … staff was wonderful very helpful and efficient !"
