"This hotel is very outdated. The chair in our room was frayed and so dirty, that we didn't want to sit on it. The remote for the TV was very dirty and needed new batteries. We had to get a new lightbulb as one of the lamps didn't work next to the bed. The bathtub barely drained when taking a shower and the shower curtain was filthy. The carpet was very dirty too. "When we check-in the first day the front desk was really helpful. But I wouldn’t recommend this hotel is about the breakfast, staff and the room. "Wonderful stay"

"The juice machine was out of service and there was only one flavor of yogurt. Additionally, when I checked the breakfast at 6:30 a.m, there were only 6 containers of yogurt. I was in the room next to the stairs and could hear all the foot traffic. This should be a discounted room."

"Room layout was nice, but the box spring didn’t have a cover so it looked unfinished. Just didn’t feel the cleanest overall. The lobby had a funky smell to it. The gal at the front desk told me they had a VIP guest blasting music the night before which made me concerned for the quality of sleep I’d have that night. Breakfast isn’t included (I might have misread that though). Duct tape on the carpet in the hallways. Just felt like overall this hotel could use some TLC! Not sure I’d stay here...

"Foothills inn was a great motel that I would recommend when traveling through the Black Hills of South Dakota. The prices were good. The bed was very comfortable.I stayed three nights here while motorcycle touring."

"Property seemed pretty clean. However, the front desk attendant seemed super confused about our checking in. When we got our room key and went to our room someone was already occupying the room! It smelled of marijuana too. We were then put in a double queen room and the hair dryer was missing out of the bathroom- looked like someone cut the cord off of it! Loud people all through the night."

It would have been nice if they had an airport shuttle and although I thought I read that they did, they don't."

AC worked sporadically. Window tracks were dirty. Bed was very comfortable and linens were crisp and clean. You will need to bring your own toilet paper, kleenex, shampoo, handsoap, cups, etc. as there is none available in the room or the lobby. There is no coffee maker in the room and the machines in the lobby...

"I will say, the only reason I am not giving this a better rating is because nowhere on the website or when we made the reservation were we told that the hotel was undergoing extensive renovations, and the key amenities we were looking for (namely the swimming pool for our kids, and the hot fresh breakfasts) were not going to be available. I don't care how friendly the staff is, or how nice the rooms, when this level of restriction is not publicized prior to booking, it is an extremely poor look...
