- Retreat to this luxury boutique hotel's Africology Spa for revitalising facials, massages, and manicures, then lounge by the outdoor pool.
"Stopped at the Drostdy for the night on the way to Johannesburg and what a treat it was. The staff are friendly the rooms are lovely. Decor is good rooms are huge and very clean with everything you could need .
Had a lovely complimentary bottle of wine and snack platter waiting in the room which was a nice touch . Dinner at the hotel was fantastic as was the breakfast.
Next time I visit I will be sure to spend an extra day or two and enjoy the pool and spa."

"Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht von der Lodge. Die Anfahrt ist mit einem normalen PKW eigentlich unzumutbar und bei vorherigem Regen nicht machbar! Der Gemeinschaftsbereich ist sehr schön, aber das war’s dann auch schon! Die Unterkünfte sind deutlich in die Jahre gekommen und bedürfen einer Modernisierung. Das Personal ist bemüht, aber nicht sehr geschult und wirkt teilweise unbeholfen. Das Abendessen (in Buffetform !) war wohlwollend betrachtet bestenfalls durchschnittlich, das Frühstück...

- village units outdoor showers had waist high weeds
- supper menus are 5 course set menus that are repeated & are expensive for quality
- restaurant staff lacking management & training
- receptionists could do hostessing/oversight at meal times & spot checks on housekeeping/condition of units and gardens to support and train staff but do not
- lack of comfy...
