"Being an old schoolhouse definitely made it unique. The room was small but didn't feel like it. The view over the courtyard was peaceful and the live music in the evenings was nice way to end the day. If you want quiet before 9 pm then I would look elsewhere but we thought it made for a nice evening. The location was perfect and within easy walking distance to everything in the historic district which was a huge plus to not have to deal with finding or paying for parking. The room and whole inn was very clean with a friendly staff. We would stay there again!"

"Our room was next to the breakfast prep area and every morning there was an inordinate amount of noise from 6am on. Our AC was making a terrible vibrating noise. We informed the staff of both of these concerns and nothing was done to remedy them. We have stayed in this Hampton Inn many times in the past and never had these kinds of problems. Very disappointing."

"I was only here for overnight but the location is great, spacious and clean room. Great shower, comfy bedding and the AC works really well. I will stay here again!"

"The breakfast had a lot to be desired. The bacon was really greasy. The flat eggs were cold. The staff were very friendly & polite. The room was clean. But toilet had an issue with flushing. The fan ran all the time whether switch was on or not. And sink’s drain you pull up to let the water drain out was broken. So you had to manually pull up the plug to let the water out!"

"The location was convenient for most of what I wanted to do. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is right on the beach, but due to that there were often people hanging out in the parking lot smoking near by etc... My room was fine; a bit awkward but fine for one person. The bathroom had many extras and storage which was nice. My windows faced the beach, but one whole side was blurred/smudged out I guess from being old. My room was near the elevator and it was very loud both nights. Sounded like many drunk people in the hallway. The breakfast and amenities were disappointing. The parking area was ok, but you are charged for it. I would pay a little more to stay somewhere else next time."

"There are two primary reasons I rated this property 3 out of 5 stars. The room and facilities were very nice. However, this is a Springhill Suites, not a Motel 6. I did not expect to hear my neighbors walking on the floor above me, nor did I expect to hear them using the bathroom. This is not what I expect from a well-respected, higher-end chain like Springhill Suites. The other reason I am not completely happy is the parking fees. I knew about the $15/day parking when I reserved the room, but to charge the full amount for the day you check in (which is late) and the day you check out (which is early) is unacceptable. When I see companies screwing their customers like this, I make a point of not returning."

"Wonderful lodge with a great staff and service to match. The hotel was modern in it's appointments, bedding, windows, bathrooms. Has a convenient elevator and luggage carts. The ocean at your doorstep with beach amenities. The breakfast had the best veggie omelet I've ever had... anywhere. Parking right outside the front door a spot for every guest. We only stayed a few days but we're looking to make it an annual getaway!"

"The beach view was is the distance with several buildings partially obstructing the view. Fresh towels, paper cups and waste baskets emptied each day- bed linens every 3rd day. Breakfast was limited buffet, repetitive hot choices, pancake machine difficult to operate. The breakfast room itself was very nice and comfortable with different seating choices. "
