"The hotel is conveniently located close to everything. The train station was less than 10 mins walk. There's a Tesco express and a Sainsbury's right outside the hotel. The room was clean and spacious enough to fit a queen bed, double sofa bed and a cot. We had a comfortable sleep. We used the pool once, there was a steam room as well. Breakfast buffet wasnt all that may be because we had dietary restrictions. Also note that theres no Aircon. But the staff were nice enough to I give us an extra fan. We would stay here again!"

"The staff, especially Reception and a young blonde-haired lady who had only been there about 3 weeks were exceptional. Having the bar & the restaurant on the top floor is a bit odd, but it is comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very poor as was the quality of the wine. The gentleman acting as Maitre was brusque, untidy and unwelcoming. We booked our table for 7 and were prompt. But he wanted us to have courses in rapid succession. When we asked for a pause his response was that it was already cooked so we needed to have it then. We were invited to look at the pudding menu at 8.15 and asked if we could please have a little break, bearing in mind that dining didn’t start until 7 pm. He told us if we wanted dessert we would have to order as the kitchen closed at 8.30. We declined pudding. This is supposed to be a 4-star hotel - and everything about it is 4-star. However, I would not give the dining room one star. Sitting in reception in the afternoon waiting for my friend to arrive, who was also staying at the hotel, I heard a lot of people going out to dine and booking Uber. I now know why. There were very few people- perhaps 6-8 dining at the hotel on Thursday evening, which speaks for itself. I felt very unwelcome, rushed and uncomfortable. When meeting friends to dine - it’s lively to chat and linger over each course. We were given an hour and a half to eat all 3 courses. Most of which were inedible anyway. Such a pity. "Absolutely fab hotel as you would expect as it’s only been open 2 years! My only criticism would be there were no teaspoons in the room just wooden sticks which ripped the teabags trying to get them out of the cup! It is such a small thing but next time I stay I will bring my own. But a very impressive hotel and perfect location for where we visit!"

"Great hotel, bar area was nice and spacious with comfortable seating. Was able to work from there for a couple of hours without being disturbed. Gym had all the kit you need to do some exercises, including weights, rower, runner, bike machine. Room was a great size and so was the bed, lovely shower. Parking was a bit steep, think I paid £16 for 24 hours."
