"Breakfast same items every day ( few choices) and usually just warm. Coffee good. View from room very nice. Two bars one closed. The main problem was the exterior areas, pool and beach never once in 7 days were they cleaned, or tidied. Clothing and an ashtray on a pool lounger for whole of or stay. Steps and boardwalks never swept. Can’t comment on restaurant as we spent time in town as much as possible. Aircon, bathroom bed all good. Would not recommend."

"This is a beautiful hotel in lovely surroundings. Lovely beach. The staff were very pleasant, always with a smile. Dining outside with beautiful views of the bay was quite amazing. Dinner was very very reasonably priced. Our room was large with direct views to the bay with a balcony. Now this a quiet place, if you are after a good swim in an uncrowded beach that is the place for you. If you are after a place with lots of activities look somewhere else"

"The Salmakis Resort & Spa was an enticing place but little things meant that it didn't deserve its 5 star rating. The WiFi did not work in the hotel room, only in the restaurant and reception areas, which was very frustrating and inconvenient. When we arrived there was one area through which everyone had to walk to access other areas of the hotel, which had a large pallet loaded with what seemed to be large boxes of machinery. "This is a beautiful property perched on the ridge overlooking the sea. The staff were friendly. Unfortunately, during our stay, the main pool was closed and being resurfaced. The property therefore was not as advertised. I would think this warrants some kind of a discount. Moreover, the beach is beyond walking distance, and the shuttle only travels once per hour. Lastly, the restaurant had very mediocre food and was far inferior to any other meal we had during our stay in Bodrum. I hate...
