Could do much better.
We arrived in a monsoon downpour. No bellboy, just a security guard pointing vaguely in the direction of our room a good 250m away. No umbrella offered. The foot paths were like rivers. Not the best start. The bedroom was ok except the aircon which was totally inadequate. The bathroom was not good at all. The door would not stay closed so the very little cool air that the aircon provided went straight in there. The bathroom was not clean and in poor repair. The toilet looked distrusting. Mould around the plug hole etc. On the plus side, the staff were very nice. I believe it’s the management that let things slip!

This is a resort best fitted for families due to the pool. Do not expect cleanliness at this place.. The only good thing with this hotel was the guy at the bar that was very friendly. We stayed at a standard room but maybe other rooms are much better, though we didnt risk staying another night to find out...

Whenever I called the front desk, I got an immediate response. Beds were comfortable and clean. Pool was clean with not a smell of cloriine. There food portions were to large.

Make the room much cleaner and smell good
We used to stay here for so many times the rooms was nice and clean we usually got room 24,25and 26 but this time we got the room 23 it was not that clean it smells a little bet like poo specially in the bathroom but I still recommend to stay Hagnaya beach resort as is it so beautiful views and very friendly staffs they give what you asked them.....

Reasonable/average room and a good rate. Nice pool to swim in. Mostly quiet stay but the restaurant staff cranks the music at 6:30 am to fix breakfast!

Free shuttle to and from the resort. Very accommodating and polite staff. Great landscaping, very clean, excellent food, fair pricing on all goods sold. excellent/clean pool.

Although it is in the middle of nowhere it is a great place to unwind. Excellent value for money. Ideal for those on a budget. Even the restaurant including alcohol was cheap. Fantastic pool area. Only stayed 2 nights but next time will stay longer. Only negative was the bathroom layout and the shower leaked continuously whereby a bucket was filled every 12 hours. However that aside i would recommend it.

In a beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere. Staff friendly and attentive. Wonderful huge pool. Facilities very basic: shower did not work, barman was away for the day.

Good food, great accommodations and friendly staff. Not much of a beach, but you will see some wonderful sunrises. It has a grilling area where you can cook for your guest and family. I enjoyed the time I spent there. Will visit again.

Hagnaya Beach Resort
We stayed at Hagnaya because we missed our ferry to Bantayan. The grounds are spacious & the pool was pretty large. It is in close proximity to the port (~1 mile).

The hotel is nice and quiet. There is nothing around, BOGO is the biggest city near by, but it takes 30 minutes to get to. The pool is large and the slides are fun to go down for all ages. The food is good and the beer is cheap but they run out of bottled beer quickly. You have to ask for room cleaning if you want you room cleaned. It seems most people only stay 1 or 2 nights. The place was empty for the most part so I had the pool pretty much to myself. If you want to relax and get away from it all, this is the place.

Avlägset liggande hotell med 30 minuter till närmsta samhälle. Slitet och i behov av renovering. Väldigt hårda sängar. Mycket lite att göra vid hotellet. Tyvärr var frukosten under all kritik. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal.

Our stay would of been ok except 2 thing.firstly it should advertised apon booking in bold type that the hotel is along way from the mainroad, so if you arrive by bus you will still need to get to the hotel which us 3km down an unpaved road. you can also be aware that the hotel has free minibus if you call them when you get off a bus. Secondly the resort hires out rooms on a day basis so you could be disturbed by large drunken party going on all night next door like we did.

I stayed here for one night, prior to taking the ferry to bantayan island the next morning. The hotel is reasonable value, and the bed was large and comfortable. The pool looked nice and lots of people were enjoying it, although I did not swim. I was woken early by the sounds of many birds; at the time I thought it was nice that we were so close to nature BUT later realized that they have a large number of caged birds on the property, including some Kites in a very small cage. This is a real shame - I've seen this in a number of places in Philippines and I wish they wouldn't do this - those majestic animals deserve more than to be stuck in a tiny cage where they can't open their wings. I'd like the hotel to know that European / American tourists do not appreciate seeing this.

It is a great place on a budget. If you are looking for a place to stay with the kid's. Very good. Nothing to do around here, but good if you want to relax and enjoy the pool and family.

Best stay in the area.
I stayed at Hagnaya Beach Resort with two girl friends for two nights whilst in town to visit family living in Bogo City. It's a nice resort in comparison to the available accomodation in this part of Cebu. The swimming pool is great especially for kids and the resort has billiard tables. The restaurant sells nice food although I would not recommend trying any of the cocktails as they taste terrible! The road that leads into the resort is extremely bumpy and rough so if you suffer from motion sickness, good luck. Wifi is terrible. Overall anyone wishing to stay in the area or looking for a stop over before travelling to Bantayan Island, I recommend this place!

They have an on site restaurant that has a buffet breakfast. The food is good. Service is good if you speak the language. English is confusing at times for the staff. There is NO wifi despite what they say. Cell service is minimal at best. But the pool and grounds are nice.

The hotel is nice, but there is no wi-fi and they will give you all kinds of excuses saying it'll be up soon. They said that 6 months ago too. Cell service is iffy at best. However, if you want to "unplug", this is the place.
