"I liked but didn’t love the stay at this hotel . Things we liked : clean, spacious, having a washer, nice and walkable center. I didn’t like the fact that we had trouble with the hot water the first day and night and, overall, I expected more from a 5 star hotel ( daily room keeping ?! ). Probably we won’t return as we really loved the 4 star place we stayed before but they were booked when we decided to stay longer so we had to find another hotel. "

"Excellent stay at the Cheval The Edinburgh Grand. It is located in the New Town area but it is a short walk to Old Town. We found it was a nice respite to leave the Old Town area due to how busy it is (think Times Square busy). Every person we encountered at the hotel was extremely nice and professional. Our room was clean and comfortable. would highly recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh."

"I booked this for my daughter and friend and they loved both the apartment and the area. They were steps from everything and never had to worry about transportation. They walked everywhere and felt safe. I would book again."

"Absolutely gorgeous little flat with spectacular views. Amazing private lounge with cakes and coffee availble at all times made the trip extra special. Fantastic location not far walk from Waverley train station. The street a bit noisy but double glazed windows, black out blinds and central air conditioning made sure that wasnt an issue. "Excellent location near local restauarants and bars while still being close enough to tourist attractions. Easy automated check in and a pretty big room. The air conditioning was only in the bedroom and fire doors made it hard to keep them open so the other rooms got stuffy."

"The worst part of our stay was the initial climb to the third floor with our luggage. Unbeknownst to us at the moment, this trek became a perfect training for the following day’s climb to Arthur’s Seat! We were quite happy with the location and the parking arrangement with St. James Place which was just a short ten minute walk to our unit.
