A decent budget hotel which suited us as close to the station. 30 minute walk to get to the central area but not a problem if reasonably fit. Quiet and safe location with no traffic noise of any consequence.

Relaxing and enjoyable

Good spot close to transport and the city centre as well as the train station. Helpful reception staff who were able to help me with questions or concerns meant it was an enjoyable experience to stay. Both comfortable and relaxing.

Great reception staff

The lady with brown hair and lovely oriental accent at the reception desk made our stay very comfortable. We loved her friendly attitude and readiness to help any time. We also appreciated that our room was ready upon arrival in earlier hours.

A nice standard hotel close to Bordeaux centre. Staff are v friendly and rooms clean enough. Basic amenities and clean rooms. Air conditioning didn’t work super well in our room. Breakfast was ok standard. Coffee could have been better.

The hotel is one tram station or a 7 minutes walk away from the main train station. All major landmarks can be reached by tram or foot. While the rooms look newly renovated at first sight, some parts like the toilets or elevators definetely were not. The towels were of poor quality. Depending on which staff member is sitting at the réception desk, you are either being greeted in a friendly way, or not being looked at at all. The lady who checked us in and out was great, though. Unfortunately, the breakfast did not meet our expectations, as it was not up to date in terms of nutritions and variety.

Well located

This hotel is close to the train station but not enough so that the noise can be a problem. There is a team stop more or less in front which will take you within 10-15 minutes to Place de la Bourse. Being in the older part of town not far from the train station, I felt uneasy at times in the evening. There was no noise in the room, it had a sofa and essentials for morning coffee. I did not try the breakfast because it was too expensive (I felt 18,50€ was a bit much). There aren’t cafés close by so you will have to get some downtown, at the train station or grab croissants and eat in your room. A beautiful city and this location is great to explore from. The entrance is welcoming with lots of space to relax. Check in was good. I would recommend and stay here again.

Very disappointing for a 4* hotel

Upon seeing the room I was very surprised that this was a 4* hotel. We had booked a room with a king size bed and a sofa bed. Despite confirming that the sofa bed had been made up with clean linen when we checked in, it had not - instead it smelt unaired and obviously slept in. Additionally the waste bin in the room was so dirty they had to take it away when we showed it to staff (but they did not provide a replacement). The kindest way to describe the decor/fixings is ‘tired’, the room also smelt damp and of stale cigarettes - as did any clothes left in the wardrobe. We also had to get the key card recoded several times as we would return to the room to find it didn’t work. We went out for dinner one evening and returned about 11.45pm to find the hotel closed and locked. Then spent 10 minutes ringing the buzzer, before having to phone them to request they let us in. However, I can confirm the buffet breakfast was very good.

Lovely attitude of all staff. Check in was effortless. I asked for a late checkout and J was accommodated. Good selection of food and beverages at breakfast. The was no restriction to the amount of food available. Room was very comfortable. We we offered a free upgrade with free mini bar. We had a peaceful night sleep
