First and foremost, I have to begin this review by stating the hotel and the rooms are NOT dated. The decor and overall style in the hotel is vintage and leans into the history of the hotel itself, which is lovely.
That said, we had a wonderful stay. The bed was very comfortable and we slept great during our stay. We had a corner room on the 5th floor that gave us nice views in two different directions (see photos). The staff were friendly, professional, and very helpful.
We are two meals, dinner in The Tavern and breakfast in Nathaniel's. Both meals were great. For dinner, we shared a burger and fries, which was perfect because the portions were large. For breakfast, I had the two egg omelet with a side of parm crusted potatoes and cinnamon raisin toast. Delicious! My kiddo had a waffle with fruit and Nutella, and she very much enjoyed it.
We have no complaints. If we visit Salem again, we will happily stay in this historic hotel. The proximity to various points of interest is fantastic.
