"A fabulous pub / hotel! The staff were super friendly but very professional. The room we had was exceptional - a family room with double bed and 2 bunk beds (one of which housed our adult daughter without any problem). The new interior decorations were gorgeous - Pooky lights, artwork on the walls and corridors etc. Breakfast was magnificent (full vegetarian) and the bar in the evening was great with good choice of drinks and background music at the right level. "A quiet traditional hotel. Easy parking and nice outside space. Very comfortable and spacious room with a spa bath which was a nice bonus. Would stay again."

"The village is delightful and has a fascinating history well worth the visit. The hotel is full of character but is in need of a good deal of work if it is going to cater for tourists otherwise it will fall into disrepair and not be worth considering. Carpets need replacing, rooms need a thorough cleaning, woodwork, like doors and windows, are in need of attention & holes in the walls should be addressed.
