"At telephone beforehand and on arrival all staff were very pleasant, warm, friendly and helpful. Room was fine and air con a welcome surprise. Dinner in restaurant was excellent. Breakfast was good but not perhaps as good as dinner. Grounds all very attractive but walking around, particularly at the rear, we did notice some litter and areas in need of attention. Overall an enjoyable visit and in my view competitively priced."

"The Littleton Arms are in a convenient and easily accessible location. Rooms were comfortable and clean having recently been decorated to a high standard. Beds also comfortable and good pressure on shower even though on top floor. Breakfast was excellent having the full English while there were lots of good alternatives to choose from too. "Beautiful location and buildings. Wonderful breakfast and all such good value."

"Hottest day in May on record and the heating was on in my room. After speaking with staff three times and an hour and a half later, I was moved to another room. In spite of the wonderful advert featuring a restaurant I was told no kitchen tonight. Second room was very noisy overlooking the car park which doubles as a camping ground for motor homes, with ten present. No mattress cover and a very dirty mattress. Black mould on the bathroom ceiling which had been painted over but still showed...
