A Wondeful Surprise
At first, as I looked at the Campground/motel compound I was a bit leery. Then I met the manager who could not have been more helpful and engaging. Soon, we saw the room: it was clean, it was large enough for us; and it suited our purposes. We would stay there again, if the opportunity arises.

Perfect stay at Kampfires
Excellent in every way. Although the office closes at 6 p.m., they called before to make sure we would be here or to arrange late check-in. The room was perfect. Clean, bright, modern, new with all amenities (fridge, good lighting, large, easy to use A/C-heat, nice shower, easy parking. There was even a fire pit (which we didn't use) with supplied firewood. We have no negative things to say. We would stay here again happily, and we wish all our accommodations were like this one.

The room was clean, neat and a simple kind of pretty. The bed was super comfortable. The outside are was really nice, although it was raining so I didn't get to enjoy it. I eventually found my way to the office where my key code envelope was waiting on the clipboard for me. No contact check in was great. Amy called to make sure I was able to check in and recommended a Thai food truck a couple miles down the road that had the most amazing food!! Brought take out back to my room and enjoyed a nice night inn!
Awesome stay! Exceeded our expectations! Karen was super friendly And welcoming. Great comfortable rooms yet still that “campsite feeling”. Would stay again!

Outside the property isn’t attractive. Insid the room is clean and comfortable. Well appointed, but no closet.
It was confusing when we got there because it's a campground and we weren't sure where to check in. Ended up doing self check in because we missed the owners. The room was actually quite nice and it was super quiet as we were the only guests that we know of. It was a good spot for what we wanted to do that weekend. Antiquing and relaxing. Thank you.
Lots of amenities, if you have the time.
Continental breakfast was advertised, but could not find where it was. The office did not open until 10:00, and we had to be on our way, before that.
When we arrived at the Inn, the staff directed us to the creole festival happening in the “ampitheatre” out back. The live music, dancing, food trucks, and krawfish bake with a local crowd was a really nice, unexpected perk. The room was nice and well-kept and there was plenty to keep our two-year old daughter entertained (it was difficult to extricate her from the playground). The campground is about halfway between Brattleboro and Putney, both of which are lovely.
Wonderful experience; easy to check in and out. Newly renovated rooms with just the right blend of simplicity and luxury. Incredibly hospitable staff and fun events like an annual bluegrass festival. Also, they have an awesome VT beer selection!

Cute place, comfortable bed, good shower. Heater didn't work when it was cold, had to sleep in my clothes! Then AC wouldn't work for awhile. Had to send repairman out. No closet.
We booked late for our son's graduation for Keene State College. Brattleboro is closer than people might think. LOVED this Inn. It was clean, uncluttered, tasteful decor -- I would go back there anytime!
