"Hotel needed a good cleaning in the common areas. The carpeting was dirty, and it looked like the place was very poorly taken care of. The room itself was clean and much better than the common areas. The shower had no hot water at first until someone in the front desk. Explain there’s a “trick” to it in the way you use the handle. Kind of silly for a hotel to have a trick like that needed. ‘Curb appeal’ of the hotel was totally lacking. No ice available and the little ‘shop’ had very little in...

"My stay at Sonesta Bee Cave was pretty underwhelming. The room was very small and did not have any overhead lighting, which caused it to be very dark from evening onwards. I went to use the provided room iron, and there was a substance that had been burnt onto the iron that got on my dress. I requested a new iron, and the front desk staff informed me that they would be happy to provide a steamer in addition to the iron. The iron was replaced but the maid did not bring a steamer. I went to the...

"This place was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed for a relaxing dinner at home. After a long day on the lake, we just wanted a quiet evening without having to drive back to Houston. "We booked a room for 5 people, we were told it had a king bed and pull out sofa. The pull out sofa was a twin bed. So we asked for a rollaway bed and told because it was Expedia they couldn’t help.
The heater in the king room made awful noise all night so sleep was poor.
The poor lady running the bar and restaurant was all alone. She did a phenomenal job but they definitely need more staff on weekends."
