Overall, we were happy with our stay – clean rooms, well-run property, and everything you need for a comfortable visit to Bryce Canyon.
However, one downside: we were placed in the Lake Lodge, which is the farthest building from the main lodge, pool, lobby, and shops. All the closer buildings were occupied by large Chinese bus tour groups, which made us feel like direct individual bookings were deprioritized.
We specifically booked our room months in advance as individual travelers, not as part of a group. Being placed so far away was inconvenient – especially when we noticed that the prime buildings were reserved exclusively for the tour groups.
Conclusion:
A solid place to stay with great amenities – but next time, we’d appreciate equal treatment for direct-booking guests, not being pushed to the outer edge because we didn’t arrive on a bus.
