"AVOID. Difficult to know where to start. This apartment was mis-sold, as it is student accommodation (10 bedrooms per flat). Each guest has shared access to the common room, housing the kitchen and sofa. On check in (after a long on-line book in process (crashing server)), the common room was inhabited with other guests, who were cooking tea. The bins were overflowing and the place generally stank. "Old-world warmth of welcome to children and adults. Main reception room is a beautiful large high windowed, graceful, room resplendent with its numerous couches, library, sea views and perfect for rainy days. The pork belly and fresh vegetables were delicious. A realistically priced, child-welcoming, truly charming hotel with generous pool towels, for the much enjoyed indoor and outdoor pool. The location is great for quick walks, short taxi and train rides to an abundance of child-appropriate fun. The staff are delightful. Grandeur and hospitality without the price-tag, breakfast and bedroom more than adequate, we look forward to our next visit very much. If you need power-showers, and ten-star waitress-service breakfasts, air conditioning, ... this hotel is not for you, but how lucky we are to have this wonderful hotel exactly as it is. "
