An family business with lots of secret jems. From a very good restaurant near by, with lots of shopping areas around 300m. For children it is a big public playing ground nearby.

If you are into something modern and private then this is not the place for you. It is beginning to show its age on the inside but we were quite fine with that - a different experience for us on our 6 week trip across Europe. Overall staff were pleasant, in particular the young lady who checked us in and who was extremely helpful and ensured, after a mix-up, that we had off-street parking. Breakfast was adequate although it would be nice to have at least another 30 minutes as they clear up around 9am. Great place to meet some interesting people and we had a nice chat around the breakfast table with guests from Germany, Spain and Poland. Room and bathroom were nice and warm and it was only a short walk to public transport and local dining options.

Youth hostel with rude, stingy owner

I spent 3 nights there February 2023. It was my +20th time in Budapest, the first time on my own and my worst stay. I wanted to be away from the center and big hotels for a change. I was utterly disappointed and reminded of times long past when Hungary was still part of the Eastern Block. 1. Prices for 2 were the same as for one (I was by myself) when I stayed. Instead of a nice big room as in the pictures I got a very small room onto the street and next to the entrance. the staircase leading to the front door let people see right into my room. The noise level was extremely high til late at night (morning) as everyone had to pass past my room/door unlocking/locking and passing through 3 creaking doors. I asked for a bright, quiet room upstairs and out the back with a balcony. Even though there were empty rooms, the owner would not let me change. So even though I paid for two people i got the single room bum deal. Very discriminatory. 2. I was by far the oldest person (53) there. Every one else was in their early 20s. 3. Breakfast is not buffet. It's served (3 half slices of ham, 3 slices of salami, 4 small slices of cheese. Everything lowest possible quality.) Coffee is lousy. Bread is of the cheapest white kind, stale and old. Everyone sits down at one big table as in the picture. 4. Front door has to be locked at all times which no one told me. The owner treated me and scolded me like a misbehaving child for not having locked on day 1. The lack of respect for a grown woma

Pension Abel is ons heel goed bevallen. In een rustige buurt gelegen maar toch redelijk dicht bij het centrum van de stad. Stadscentrum op loopafstand maar ook heel makkelijk bereikbaar met het openbaar vervoer (tram). Pension biedt een huiselijke en warme sfeer. Vriendelijk personeel met een goede verzorging voor haar klanten. Slaapkamers, wat hoort bij de stijl van het huis, netjes en ordelijk. Prima pension met een goed ontbijt en dit alles voor een fijne prijs!

Jättetrevligt och mysigt pensionat. Men de hade kunnat va en AC på rummen och inte bara en fläkt eftersom den bara sattes på vid en viss temperatur och då var de redan för varmt.

Ci è piaciuta tanto!

Ci è piaciuta molto la Pensione Abel: una autentica abitazione ungherese, sobria, semplice, essenziale, ma pulita e confortevole, un bel calduccio dopo le giornate nel freddo! I proprietari e i giovani aiutanti molto riservati ma gentili e sorridenti; anche la colazione essenziale ma buona e senza sprechi. Siamo stati bene e ritorneremo volentieri, sicuramente la consiglieremo ai nostri amici! Grazie!

Et godt sted at overnatte

Huset er gammelt og slidt, men alt er pænt og rent. Den eneste ulempe var, at aircon ikke kører når temperaturen udenfor er 27° og derunder, det var nogle varme nætter.

No muy bien, el hospedaje es bueno pero la cama suena mucho y no tiene TV, se escucha mucho la escalera de afuera y el desayuno no es bueno. La persona que atiende es poco amable por que no se puede hacer ruido como hacer una llamada telefónica o si no te levantas del comedor a las 9 en punto.

・宿泊手続き インターホンを鳴らすと玄関を開けてもらえる。 基本的には問題ないのだけど、コピーを取るためかパスポートの写真ページを360度折られるのはちょっと勘弁してほしい。(折り目の白線が付いた) ・立地 閑静な住宅街にあるため、非常に静かで快適に過ごせる。近くには路面電車の停留所があり、観光にも便利。 ・清掃 基本的には問題なし。ただベッドメイクはある時とないときがある。 ・朝食 朝食は1つなしは2つのテーブルを多数の宿泊客で囲むスタイル。1人で行くと完全にアウェイな感じがする。提供開始時間に行くと変に気を使わなくて済む。 ・その他 滞在中、きちんと玄関のカギをかけるようにしよう。

Ungewöhnlich war dass die Bezahlung sofort erfolgen musste. Zimmer war nicht renoviert und im Dachgeschoß mit schiefen Wänden und Holzbalken mit Spalten. Es gab keinen Rauchwarnmelder. Das Zimmerschloss war defekt. Anstelle des vereinbarten Frühstückbuffets wurde eine kleine Wurst/Käseplatte serviert, die jeden Tag gleich war. Positiv ist die Lage der Pension zu öffentl. Verkehrsmitteln.

In 100m Straßenbahnhaltestelle und in 10 Minuten in der Innenstadt, perfekt. Die Unterkunft ist alt, das Kopfkissen gewöhnungsbedürftig, das Frühstück für 2 Personen 1 Scheibe Gurke, 1/12 Tomate, 1 Ring Paprika, 8 schmale Steifen Käse, 6 Scheiben Kochschinken, 6 Scheiben Salami und das an allen 3 Tagen identisch… Brot, Butter, Kaffe ohne Zuteilung… Zimmer klein und abgewohnt

Hold jer langt væk fra Abel Pension

Hotellet har jeres vurdering på 8.2, de kunne måske gøre sig fortjent til 3.0 Det var nedslidt, spindelvæv, vinduer der ikke kunne åbnes, senge der var så slidte, at en rullemadras skulle holde fjedrene på plads. Det varme vand i bruseren var uden tryg, så når man brusede var vandet koldt. Morgenmaden var frygtelig, tørt brød, osten lå oven på den ungarske salami, den smagte af salami og ikke af ost. Men det hele toppedes af at der på hotellet blev røget igennem. Og da der ikke var muligt at åbne vinduerne, så trak røgen op på værelset, så man nærmest ikke kunne få vejret.

Уютный номер и милый дедушка

Все очень понравилось! При заезде нас встречал очень милый дедушка с красивой белой бородой. В номере вкусно пахло, было чисто и уютно. Было приятно каждое утро спускаться на первый этаж по массивной деревянной лестнице к большому столу в гостиной для завтрака, где всегда был свежий хрустящий хлеб! У нас в номере в потолке были окна, что придавало ему еще большей аутентичности . В общем, все очень понравилось, как и Будапешт, когда приедем сюда снова, обязательно остановимся именно здесь

Beautiful old villa with a lovely porch and art de

I really liked staying there. The area with old villas was charming and it was nice to stay in a quiet environment. There is a supermarket close by and a tram ride is just a few minutes away. Had amazing runs to the statue of liberty on Gellért Hill . The kitchen was open 24 hours a day and it was nice to have breakfast with the other guests around the large table in the living room. My bed was very hard and the breakfast very simple but it was minor stuff. Beautiful old villa with a lovely porch and art deco details.

Pension (lodging) - Good B&B - Not 3-Star hotel

If it is publicized as B&B it is really a great place and highly recommended. But it is NOT a 3-Star hotel, as appears on hotels.com. As for breakfast, it should include more variety instead of the same stuff every morning. It is relatively basic compared with 3-Star hotels in Hungary.
