Nice guesthouse with a wonderful breakfast. If you are worried about the shared bathrooms, they were kept immaculate the whole time. Rooms were spacious and even had a small sink and desk. Super friendly staff checked us in efficiently. And the location was fantastic especially if you are looking to start the West Fjords or the Snaefellsjokull Peninsula. Would most definitely stay here again.

Parfait
Un superbe endroit où passer une bonne après quelques heures de route. Une guesthouse charmante, accueillante avec un personnel tellement gentil. Petit plus le restaurant de l’hôtel qui sert jusqu’à 21h pour des prix très très raisonnables pour l’Islande. Double salle de bain commune mais très bien entretenue. Sans oublier le petit déjeuner copieux servi de 08h à 10h. Bref un superbe endroit.

Very friendly staff. New renovated room. Quiet. Loved the included breakfast and a great view of the bay. Very convenient as a mid point rest stop for our trip north.

Dalakot in Budardalur was a very nice place to stop for the evening as we made our way from Akureyri to Reykjavik. We had a family room, which was clean and was quite spacious compared to other guesthouses we had stayed at in Iceland. The beds were comfortable and we all slept well. The shared bathrooms were clean and served our needs. It was quiet in the evening, and walking along the fjord coastline at the edge of town in the evening was quite pleasant!

Sehr gut. Wir hatten einen reibungslosen,unkomplizierten Aufenthalt. Super nettes Personal und leckeres Frühstück. Badezimmer sind zwar sepparat, aber dafür top modern und im bestem Zustand. Isländer sind eben einfach sehr nette und angenehme Leute.

Staff great, room was disappointing.
Staff deserve a 10/10! They were all very polite and helpful. Breakfast was good and lunch was good too. It’s really handy to have a restaurant inside your hotel in Iceland! The problem was the noise coming from an outside door right in front of our window! The room was also extremely tiny, we couldn’t open our baggage and could barely open the doors.

We had a triple room with ensuite and it was very spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was good and there are tea and coffee facilities in the hallway. Good restaurant for dinner. A couple of small maintenance issues in the bathroom could be addressed.

Nice place that allowed us access to other spots to visit. Be careful for the unpaved roads taking you to other places. That was an experience.

Nice property. Convenient with restaurant and continental breakfast. Generally very pleased. Really the only issue was it was a bit noisy into sleeping hours.

Netjes ontvangen. De 3 persoons kamer heeft een prima douche. Avondeten was van goede kwaliteit even als het ontbijt. Personeel vriendelijk. Voor een overnachting een prima plek. Dorpje heeft een supermarkt en tankstation.

Lovely view and food
The stay was very nice and our room had a view out to the water. We had a private bathroom room which was nice. The staff was all super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and delicious and we got pizza at their restaurant for dinner and it was the best pizza we’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend this place.

Really good location as a base for stopping on your ring road tour or before heading up into the west fjords. Very friendly and helpful staff and great to have the onsite restaurant (the pizza is ace). Rooms are clean and warm and just what we needed. Would highly recommend this hotel.

Another cheap guesthouse
Before I checked in I drove around this small settlement found one restaurant (fish) and one take away bar ahh and ice cream parlour. There is a grocery + shop with a ready made food and petrol station. As it was to early to go to restaurant (looked more professional than one in a hotel) and started to rain I opted to rest a bit in a room. Room was with a shared bath but as I was doing this reservation late at night it is my problem. Room clean and more than basic two not comphy beds two chairs and table standard one star for a guesthouse as it is not called HOTEL bathrooms clean with a few broken parts. Corridor over packed with a family unwanted furniture so no chance to seat and enjoy the view. But there is no view as it is industrial estate.(photo misleading). If your calculations will show that this is area where you have to stop .yes do so as hotels here of this category are all the same but hard cored.

Hostel/rooms were as described, Clean, basic rooms/beds, could be a little noisy with doors shutting but not too bad. Breakfast was standard cold Icelandic breakfast (fruits, veggies, meats/cheese slices, bread, cereal, juice, coffee/tea, etc.). Restaurant food was average, had a burger and fries. Overall, I would stay here again.

Bij de incheck ging er iets fout, er werd een andere prijs berekend dan waarvoor ik gereserveerd had ( reservering was in euro's en afrekenen in kronen). Het verschil werd wel heel snel terug betaald. Verder alles prima. Kamer, badkamers en toiletten schoon. Je voelde je welkom en alles wed gedaan met een glimlach. Eten in het restaurant was goed, niet bijzonder. We hebben hier een goed verblijf gehad. .

Great restaurant in unassuming bed and breakfast
Our triple room was roomy but lacked "storage space". Just a couple of hooks on the wall for the jackets and a little area for baggage would have been appreciated. On the other hand the restaurant had a very pleasant fast-food type menu and as we stayed there we had a 15% discount. One of the most affordable dinners in our trip.

Property was nice and clean and in a nice area. My only problems were, first, there was a sporting even being broadcast in the adjoining restaurant until about 10pm, and it was very rowdy and loud in there. Not that big a deal really, but we did feel we had to find another place to eat. It would have been nice to try the restaurant. The rooms are very close to the restaurant so they weren’t quiet until everyone left. Finally, there were many occupied rooms and only two bathrooms to share. That was challenging too. But otherwise, it is a nice clean place in a beautiful area.
