Unfortunately the last week at the hard rock hotel was a terrible experience for my family. Our room view was of construction which began at 9am every morning. The sprinklers went off mid day and the tile outside was very slippery during this time which caused my sister to slip and fall. Though the representatives were constantly messaging her, it seemed like their biggest concern was liability because they were very quick to have her sign a form that stated they would provide a free cabana as compensation for her now broken foot.
The rooms were incredibly disgusting, the floors were constantly dirty, there were termites in our room where all the snacks were. The bed sheets were not clean.
The hotel tells us we don’t need to make reservations for any restaurants (excluding hibachi) and each day, as early as we go, the wait is supposedly 2+ hours long. We tried to go to Umo and attempted to put our names down but the host told us they do not take reservations even though my boyfriend came down earlier to put our names down. The customer service at Umo was terrible, the host was very snarky. After leaving, my spanish speaking aunt went to speak to that same host and she then told my aunt the wait would be 30 minutes. The interaction gave the impression of possible prejudice, which was concerning.
Armando from the pool next to the slides was great, he was extremely kind and helpful. He brought us food and drinks.
I would never stay at this property again. A disappointment
