"I gave this property 10 out of 10. If I could give it more, I would, because it deserves it and it was one of the nicest places I have stayed while walking the Camino de la Plata. Ceser could not have been more kind or helpful. He even offered to come and collect me because I was lost and had walked approx 4km past Grimaldo by mistake.
The location is great (right on the Camino de la Plata - despite me gettong lost). The room was warm, clean and very comfortable and simple but beautifully decorated. Would highly recommend. Thank you Cesar."
"Our stay here was a real treat - the room was lovely, the estate and surrounding areas were stunning, and the staff counotnhave been more friendly or welckming."
"It is a 1000 year old building, the host treated us wonderfully and we had a great chat in the bar. Much different than all the corporate owned hotels we stayed earlier in the week. There is a thermo springs a few blocks away."
"Excellent amenities and good WiFi service. The restaurant offered a great menu with tasty a la carte choices. Excellent customer service in general.
Thank you "
"This experience started off really badly due to Hotels.com allegedly not having paid the property. We were asked to pay when the owners arrived but after proving that we had already paid, the owners let us stay but were still adamant that they hadn't been paid. Unfortunately, we believe them. I contacted Hotels.com on line who said they would ring the property, which they did but no-one spoke Spanish, so I talked to them. After a lot of time getting nowhere, they told me that the owners needed to contact the Billing Department. When I asked if anyone there could speak Spanish, I was told, no. What is the point of having a Hotel company that can't converse with the people that make their money for them. I said I would talk to them but the number I was given was unrecognised. A total disgrace on behalf of Hotels.com.
The owners treated us with respect and showed us to our rooms even though they had not been paid. They did state that they no longer deal with Hotels com because of not being paid before as well. They even booked a table for us in their lovely village.
I said I would try and sort this when I got back home but I have hit obstacles at every turn and have not been able to do it, which has annoyed me. Hotels.com, sort yourselves out!!"
