"The room was clean, but very dated and worn. They advertise a pool, which is outdoors, and is not in service as it is filled with a green mossy mess. On the upside, I had the place nearly to myself, and there wasn’t a lot of noise from the property, but you can definitely hear the nearby speedway in the room. I did have a strong smell of smoke from an adjoining room one day during my stay. The staff was pleasant."

"I do not recommend this hotel. Cons: - Not a good value (I paid $120 a night) - No proper maintenance is done. For our room, the shower head was held by a wire, the circuit breaker tripped multiple times, including at night, the outer window was broken, and the wall was poorly patched... - The online lobby picture looks nothing like the actual sad lobby. "Staff was great. The cabin was terrible. The shower head did not work. The staircase was almost impossible the get up and down from the loft unless you were a skinny 10 year old. The parking is very tight. The last night we were there it was 0 degrees and the heater stopped working. I have stayed in numerous hotels there in Blowing Rock and this was the worst."

"Room was filthy from the walls to the bathroom shower, bed blanket had a cigarette burn on it, toilet was tippy, coffee maker was dirty inside with hair in it and a rusted pot. Dead bugs on the floor along with a full size fridge with rust spots all over the front. Did not match the photos on web. The outside of property was well kept?!"
