"Casa da Fonte is nestled in one of the sweetest villages within Gerês. This place was a good value for price. However, we had major issues with check in. We sent inquiries about check in days before and received no response. We didn’t get our check in information until after the check in time, forcing us to sit in a fierce, cold rain storm. The place smelled like cigarettes and the host is not on site/wasn’t responsive. However, we may have been a one off. Everybody has a bad day and we hope...

"Local excelente, limpo e muito confortável, porém foi reservado para 4 clientes e tinha apenas 2 toalhas de banho e não havia roupa de cama para o sofá cama. Um edredon e sem fronhas para os travesseiros, na verdade havia somente 1 travesseiro e nem lençol para forrar. Para a cama de casal a roupa de cama estava completa. Deixaram de cortesia 2 cápsulas de café, sendo que éramos 4 pessoas. Falhou na comunicação e no material necessário para a estadia ser mais positiva."

"Beautiful property overall, but unfortunately the room needs some attention. The bathroom and the area under the kitchen sink had a strong mould smell, and there was visible black mould on the shower caulking and even around the bathroom towel hook. The shower also did not drain properly, which caused water to back up onto the bathroom floor.
The host provided restaurant recommendations, which was appreciated, but unfortunately all of the places suggested were closed during our stay.

"Local um distante de tudo, se quiser comer tem que levar de tudo , a casa oferece todos os tipos de utensílios domésticos, tem wifi, a TV nao funcionou , em tempos de verao um ventilador na casa é muito importante mas atendeu a minha necessidade. Mais nao voltaria a me hospedar na casa !"

"Fabulous location and room is exactly as shown
We arrived and our room was not cleaned yet. Check in delayed by one hour
Dishwasher had all dirty dishes and so I had to wash a few items by hand
Water was hot and good flow
No noise in the halls and well lit.
Towels not replenished in the second day and room not cleaned.
Which is something we expected
Lastly check out we were told to leave cards at the front desk under the computer which felt a bit weird.
