"We absolutely loved our stay at Los Lagos! 🌴🇨🇷 This was our second time staying here, and it was just as incredible as the first. We stayed in a larger room this time, which was perfect for our family of five, and the full breakfast each morning was excellent. The property itself is beautiful and incredibly well maintained, with lush gardens, tons of wildlife, and amazing views of Arenal Volcano when the weather cooperates. 🌋 We especially loved the pools — there are 11 in total, including 8 thermal mineral hot spring pools and 3 cold pools, so there’s something for everyone. The location is also fantastic, being close to La Fortuna Waterfall and everything in the La Fortuna area. Whether you’re looking to relax in the hot springs, explore the area, or simply enjoy the beautiful grounds, Los Lagos is a fantastic place to stay. We’d absolutely come back again! Pura vida! 🇨🇷🌴"

"I stayed with my partner for his birthday and we had a great time. The property was clean and the pools were refreshing/relaxing. All the staff was very nice. Only complaint was I wish they did more for birthdays. I booked a dinner months prior with a note for birthday and also called before my reservation to remind them, but still had to ask for a dessert in which they brought out as if any other plate. Didn’t really make my fiancé feel special. But other than that everything was awesome!"

Tifakara by the Waterfall

"I cannot say enough good things about Tifakara. Our stay was magical. From the wildlife off our back balcony (the rare treat of seeing a whole troop of monkeys!), the frog tour was thrilling, the daily included breakfast delicious and a perfect way to start a day of adventures in La Fortuna, to the luxurious accommodations (I’m forever spoiled by the remote controlled bidet toilet). All that would have been more than enough. But by far the best part about Tifakara is the staff. They were warm and accommodating and attended to us without feeling obtrusive. Everyone was beyond friendly and the warmth and genuineness was palpable. We loved every moment of our stay at Tifakara and if we’re ever fortunate enough to return to La Fortuna we would stay nowhere else."
