"I had great experience! Cozy place. First I was getting a room with many steps but as a mature woman who has knee problems I asked for broom away from street and no stairs. Room was small but enough for me! The bed wasn’t as comfortable but I am spoiled with my own mattress! The shower might need a bit more attention, perhaps using bleach to get rid of the molds on the corner or floor. I always wear shower shoes anyway so there wasn’t a problem for me. "I loved being in the mountains in nature. Beautiful property. There are bugs birds and even a chipmunk, lovely view. Simple Breakfast was included. A bit far from the city. Wifi was down when i arrived but i had backup. I would totally go back, it is a great escape and very reasonably priced. "

"Beautiful little resort just outside of the hustle and bustle of Monteverde. Owner met us to show us around the property and let us check in early. One of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed in. Beautiful property and room. Excellent food from the on site restaurant. Excellent staff. Spotless room. If we ever come back to Monteverde I wouldn’t look to stay anywhere else .10/10 all day long"

"Nepenthe is a gem. You need to grab this stay for as long as it stays a gem, the owners are getting older and are actively trying to sell. Make this trip, you will not regret it. Stay for the week, there is plenty to do around Arenal, do not spend hours driving that you could spend listening to the howler monkeys, watching the toucans every morning, or enjoying the oropendola living their day. "Stayed three nights there. The price-quality ratio was really good. The breakfast was sufficient enough and made according to my timetable since my visit took place outside the high season. But most of all I want to thank the manager. He assisted me in reserving the zip-lines and the jungle visit. He also provided a laundry service at a very short notice.
