"We absolutely loved staying at Cerro lodge. We were staying in this area of Costa Rica for a few days to see Scarlet Macaws and other birds. After arriving in the afternoon, we saw macaws, a motmot and howler monkeys in the trees right next to the restaurant from their deck. Loved eating meals or just having drinks on that deck as we were always seeing something. Meals were delicious. Our room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have air conditioning. "Pros: We arrived early because we weren’t sure how long it would take us to get there from the airport and they were able to let us check in early. Very clean room, great little pool (water was really cold which would be fantastic on a really hot day), lots of wildlife (lizards/iguanas, squirrels, birds and butterflies), and very kind, patient and accommodating staff.
