Disappointing

One of the few places I have stayed with a room layout that was so plain. No “closet area just a shelf with a rod to hang clothes. Very little counter space in the bathroom area to do things on. Waffles were the only real breakfast item offered besides cereal and prepackaged muffins. Staff was courteous and helpful which was a plus.

I'd go again because the room didn't smell and the bed was comfortable, all for a low price. The Indian staff was nice. Maybe not what the reviewers met that I read beforehand, but I was comfortable with them.

Good value for money. Clean. Maybe updates.

A fine hotel, in a pretty good location. Some restaurants nearby, near highway access, and near local GA airport. Could do with a little refreshing; paint, carpeting, etc. But nothing really wrong with anything either.

The property has done some renovation. It was clean, easy to park, very helpful staff and a comfortable though a bit dated, room. Very close to dining options, breakfast is limited though it was good and easy to use.

We didn’t expect fancy; just clean. The room itself was clean. The bathroom was awful. The tub was filthy. A used wash rag was hanging on the shower head. The bed was comfortable. The mattress was probably fairly new.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Ice machine broken and lots of dog poop not cleaned up out back, grass needed cut. I clean up after my lil dog, but some one with big dogs did not!!

Large bugs inside and out of the hotel. Strong musty smell and hint of smoke in the room. Literally get what you pay for. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Well the room was clean but not so quiet. The location is good with lots of restaurants. I did find out that 3rd party provider's don't always tell the truth about a place. Expedia said they had an indoor pool and hot tub?? no they don't and they never have had one. I guess for the money its ok but not one I'd go back to.

Do not stay here. It has gone down hill! It smelled horrible. The bathroom had mold on the ceiling and in the tub. I only gave it a two because the bed/pillows were clean and comfortable.

There are not a lot of options in Salem. It was very convenient to our travel. Applebees was across the parking lot which we had for supper. It was delicious. The hotel looked good on the outside. Looked like it was freshly painted and lobby was homey. The hotel and furniture is old and dated. Mold in bathroom under linoleum, chair needed cleaned. Otherwise it seemed clean just out of date. Bed was very comfortable. Just an old hotel. If you want a nicer hotel in Salem you’ll pay at least an extra $100 a night!

You get what you pay for

Was supposed to be a cheap weekend getaway to do some area sightseeing and go to the local hot air balloon fest. Hotel was outdated. The "included breakfast" was just cereal and self-made waffles. The day we checked out they had prepackaged muffins too. Room was clean, but the bathroom toilet didn't work right and we had to take off the lid to set the stopper every time it got flushed. The bathroom light stopped working just before we left. I think the bulb went out. My credit card is showing being charged 3 times for the stay, but i hope that's not actually the case or I'll be making calls to get it corrected because it definitely wasn't worth that much for only 2 nights. Overall, it worked for what we neded, but nothing spectacular.

I honestly rarely fill these reviews out. After the stay at this hotel, I absolutely had to in hopes it saves someone else the extremely unpleasant experience and hassle. I traveled 6 hours to this hotel. I searched online and the photos I seen from the hotel were great, looked very clean, pet friendly a bonus, free breakfast in morning, and was right off the interstate. Sounded like a gem. I paid my deposit for dog, and early check in fee of 30 dollars before 3 pm lol unreal. I got to my room, I was already on a time frame, and wanted to puke immediately. The light switches were extremely sticky, the gooors you could hear your shoes stuck to as you walk, the ceiling in bathroom was covered in molded plaster, shower curtain shredded, the toilet was still absolutely dirty, the covers on the bed had stains all over them, the sheets were beyond gross and shredding also, the curtains were pure yellow and brittle, the grass was so high it was above the window, the recliner chair was covered in spilled stuff or stuff from other places I am glad I never found out. I had at this point an hour left to get ready for a meeting, but I had to call and tell them absolutely not! He then sent me to another room, and it was a little better not by much. The floors were disgusting, the curtains again yellow and sticky, the bathroom absolutely nasty, and the ceiling was covered in molded plaster, and the toilet barely flushed. I can not even make this up, and I rarely fill these out.
