"The building is amazing, beautiful, colonial architecture with incredible character. The hotel contains a museum filled with artifacts and information gathered by a scientist who came to the area to study the local indigenous people. I loved the old windows in my room upstairs, the one with the paddles on the wall . It was really nice to look out and see nothing but trees. The shower nozzle in my room didn’t work, there was a strange odor coming from the water in the sink, and there was no safe for valuables. Those are the only things that could be improved."

"Ocosingo is a hard place to get to. Driving was difficult but very rewarding by visiting both Agua Azul & Tonina. The hotel facilitated those experiences very well. Nice place. Great people. Boutique feel. Great restaurant! Big surprise to have excellent food. My wife said several times “like having your own cook!” Wish we cook visit more often!"
