"Always a great visit !"

"Walking in the first thing I notice was the rooms were extremely small. No biggie. But then a few major things like plumbing was backed up so shower water filled up the floor and same thing with the bathroom faucets.. the power outlets did not work so I couldn’t charge my phone which ended up being a major issue for my night out. One of the worst properties I have stayed at. To make matters worse there is no one to physically talk to for check in so it just made it all that much more difficult....

"Nicely appointed and convenient - great location for those who want to be near Golden Gate Park and Haight-Ashbury and near environs. Surprisingly quiet at night even though our room faced Stanyan. An old building, so you have to be okay with some creakiness; htough nicely renovated mostly. The sink has NOWHERE to put toiletries. The shower head collar was loose and not caulked - so beware of future mold in the wall. I can never understand why most hotels - even nicer ones - are so terrible at...

"Such a clean and charming bed and breakfast with so much character. The shared spaces are welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic each and every day! The staff is exceptionally helpful and kind. The neighborhood is safe with a lot of food options and corner stores nearby. If you drive here, parking is challenging but not impossible I look forward to staying here again in the future."

"Excellent experience and service at this lovely historic hotel! The front desk staff was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. My standard queen room was quiet and comfortable; I loved the pretty bathroom with clawfoot tub! Room had a tiny fridge which is always helpful. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous dining room with hot options and waffles. Coffee, tea, and bottled water are available all day. So glad I chose this hotel and would definitely be back!"

"I gave this hotel a neutral rating for one reason. It’s in a terrible and filthy part of town. Obviously, they are not going to disclose that, but travelers need to be aware. The hotel is super cute and well maintained, but once you leave to walk anywhere, you are in a very sketchy part of town. Our Lyft driver even asked us if we were sure we’d be ok when she dropped us off."

"This hotel has a very good location, near Haight St. where there's lots of shops and small restaurants, and within walking distance of Golden Gate Park (However, if you have a car, there is next to no parking.) But it is an old hotel and the rooms are small. And some rooms look out onto Fell St, which is noisy. So you have to deal with that. But the staff is very good and accommodating. Overall, the hotel gets the job done at a fair price. It's not a luxury hotel but you don't pay luxury...

"No carafe in the guest rooms. So, bring your own water bottle for refill. Refill stations only on 2 floors. No coffee or tea in rooms. Parking is best at the Japan Center. Pay more and park at the hotel but don't forget to book the parking at the time of reservation to avoid full lot on the day of arrival."

Called and asked about late check out before booking, reiterating my desire with purchase notes, communicated with staff about it, then the house manager was mad and didn’t let us stay late because they were fully booked even when we agreed to pay for it. "1. It’s not a hotel, but a nice hostel. There were a few shared bathrooms and shower rooms for so many units on one floor. They are cleaning every day but still people are making those dirty so quickly. Some people didn’t even flush water. Some people didn’t wear clothes to go to restrooms. Such a hostel vibe. Just be aware of that 2. Space is very tight. One room is for one person. We were two unfortunately and there was not enough space to open our luggages. Definitely no place to sit and...
