We had a great stay at Jan's Hotel. Our room was always very clean and the staff were very helpful in arranging transportation from the airport to Caye Caulker. We would definitely stay here again!

Highly recommend Jan’s hotel. Courteous, helpful & accommodating staff. Such a wonderful location. Walkable to every section of Caye Caulker. No need for a golf cart. They even picked us up & dropped us off at the ferry dock. I would definitely stay there again.

This property is very nice and well kept. Walkable to every where you want to go. The only downside is that the beach in front of the hotel not nice at all. But if you walk 5 minutes there are two beautiful beaches.

Just great all around, location is perfect, the staff are all great. It’s not resorty, felt like a family run hotel.

Property is about 5-10 minute walk from the dock. Just across the road from a small stretch of the beach. Area is not loud. Very convenient. Close to the Splits. The room was clean but the bathroom had an interesting smell. The sheets were a bit rough, but had a small kitchenette for those interested. We were provided with couple bottles of water and Coke each day while we were there. The staff was very friendly. Had use of the kayak if we wanted. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. Was able to catch a ride back to the dock with property's golf cart after we checked out. Would stay here again if back to Caye Caulker.

Good location, attentive staff, free golf cart transfer from and to the local airport. Would prefer room cleaning to be done at a set time each day.

Everyone was friendly and accommodating. Comfort room with partial ocean view balcony was perfect. Mattress was very comfortable. Shower had great water pressure so you felt clean after. We were provided a Golf Cart Ride to and from Caye Caulker Air Strip which was very convenient with our luggage. We were able to walk everywhere to take a look around and go to restaurants to eat. Close to the Split on the east side. Small beach area out front with wooden loungers. Swimming in the water from the beach on this side is not necessarily accessible or recommended due to sargassum washing up on beach, but that is the case almost everywhere in Caye Caulker with a few exceptions. Our room had WiFi and TV to stream movies for entertainment. We also had a coffee maker and fridge. No pool, but this is common for the majority of the places to stay in Caye Caulker. Bring sunscreen and bug spray. We traveled in March. Sargassum is not as bad at this time of year. We also stayed at another hotel for 2 days on the west side. The other hotel had a pool and beach area for swimming, but it was busier, crowded with other people not staying at hotel especially when the stingrays were fed at 4 pm. The beds at other hotel were uncomfortable, springy, squeaky, no TV, and the shower had no pressure. It had mini fridge stocked to purchase drinks. It had a continental breakfast included and was nòt available on time the one morning we were there. The price of that hotel was double. Just Stay at Jan’s!

The hotel was very helpful with transportation. This was my first time to the island. From the airport, to the transfer, to the water taxi, the whole process went perfect. They had a golf cart and a sign with my name waiting at the dock. Will definitely be back.

Great location to restaurants and shops. Short walk to the Split. Staff are efficient and extremely welcoming and friendly! Hotel is clean and well maintained. Beachfront could benefit from a daily pick up of garbage that washes ashore. Lounge cushions would be great too. Loved the rooftop retreat and its amazing views!

Jans is a nice hotel. Its not a high end property, but better than most of the hotels on CC. Right in the heart of the action. Bike rental and tours right down the block. Stores are within a 2 minute walk. The only downsides, the shower head sprayed all over the place, and the firestick used for TV didnt work properly, but no big deal. Would stay again.

Was a great place to come & stay at. At the last minute we wanted to spend another two days, they made it work for us! Was a pretty busy place. Wish there was more if beach but it still was a great place to relax. Would recommend it! They have security that are there all night long, so you feel really safe. Gabriel gave a run down of where thing was, everything is pretty much in walking distance, lots of restaurants & live music! Would go & stay again!

This place was exactly what I was looking for. Beautiful tiny island, the little beach area right out the front of the property and everything you need within a two minute walk. Caye Caulker is a great place to unwind and unplug for a couple of days, and Jan’s is a perfect place to do it.

Jan’s Hotel arranged for pickup and drop off at the ferry dock, which made getting there nice and easy. Check-in was a breeze, and the room was nice and clean too! We enjoyed our stay despite some noisy guests hanging out in the common area just outside our room. Location was convenient to everything, and we would stay there again!

The staff was amazing and VERY friendly, they offer many convenient ameneties. They are very accomodating. I highly recommend them, we wished they had a pool but the hotel made up for them not having it.

We love Jans
We love Jan's and have stayed here twice already. Great location with short walks to restaurants, snorkel companies, convenience stores, the tarpon feeding, stingray viewing and the split. They have modest, comfortable rooms with charming original artwork. They offer bottled water for their guests as well as soap and shampoo.The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also just completed a beautiful new dock which is a great place to watch the sunrise. We look forward to returning in the future.

Great location, but rooms need renovation
We stayed 6 nights in this hotel to have the time to explore the island, and also have to work remotely a few days. Location is great, nice sea views from the front rooms (we were in suite 1). The room was sizeable (we paid for a suite), so good for working. The main issue is that the hotel needs an update, esp. Given the price (250 us dollars per night). The bathroom was mouldy and the shower curtains smelly and old. The little kitchen was super basic and we didn't use it other than to make coffee. The service was average to poor. You had to ask for everything, no effort was made. The exception was Fred, the porter, who was extremely nice and helpful. Overall not good value for money, but also this might be the case for most places in the island. Everything extremely overpriced.

We loved our stay here! Jan’s Hotel was clean and the staff were so friendly. They’re beach and dock across the street are well maintained. The location was perfect; right by all of the action but still quiet. Highly recommend!!

Jan’s Hotel was the perfect spot for our stay on Caye Caulker! The desk was friendly and helpful, the room was spacious with a great view of the sea, and the location was perfect for an easy walk to the Split or into the main town for dinner.

I like it had a eating area on the roof that overlooked everything. I didn’t like that no microwave came with room.

Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback. Unfortunately our smaller rooms indeed do not have a microwave, we do have other units with kitchen facility.
