"We have great relaxed time at the Caterina apartments. Very clean, it had everything we needed and was very comfortable. We stayed in a court yard view apartment and it wasn’t over looked. The shops and countless cafes and restaurants are all nearby. The metro and bus station isn’t far either. Great modern apartment and it provided a great base for a relaxed stay. "

"The hotel is so lovely! It’s tucked away in an ancient little alley just off of the river (a little hard to find with GPS; just ask). The room was spacious, well-appointed, and comfortable. There was even a gorgeous skylight directly above the bed! (Think sleeping in a lighthouse) with beautiful stone walls. It’s so convenient and I’d definitely stay again. Warning: however, there is no parking and the closest garage was a bit of a haul (~1-1.5km?) so, I just backpacked it instead of fighting...

"The guest house is very centrally located in the Ribeira area and the room was spacious, lean and the bed was comfortable. The price was a steal. The staff were very nice to deal with and breakfast was delicious. Excellent coffee. My room was on the third floor and there was no lift so got a bit of exercise in as well.
