"Very clean and great staff"

"I was so disappointed the type of room we got The room we were given was far too small. The toilet was just one step away from the bed, and the doors would hit each other when opened. The air conditioning broke down for an entire night, and it was a real nightmare because we couldn't sleep. I strongly disagree with the way these rooms are presented, especially considering the very high price they charge."

"An absolutely stunning hotel with an authentic boutique Portuguese feel, in the perfect location, right by the beach. The restaurant had beautiful views of the beach and food was superb. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. We’ll definitely be back!"

"We just loved our stay at Chalet Ficalho! The building, grounds and decor all radiated old-world charm. The walled property nestled in a neighborhood felt like a private sanctuary. The staff are attentive, professional and accommodating. Everything here is just so pleasant, from the delightful breakfast on the patio to the private outdoor pool. Private parking is a bonus!"

"The only thing that upset me and I know it was not intentional, but after my room was cleaned my door was left slightly opened/unlocked. I was a bit startled because I was coming back from the night out and just prayed that all my stuff was there, which they were! Please just let this be a lesson to the staff that cleans to always double check the doors and ensuring it is closed fully. I did inform front desk right away and hopefully the message was relayed. Sophia at front desk was the best!...
