"The Blue Jay room is beautiful. It was well appointed, the bed extremely comfortable and the jacuzzi tub quite enjoyable. We enjoyed coffee and a game of billiards before we checked out. Check-in was easy and the owners communicated well."

"Well maintained restored building in a small town. Clean and safe.
Shops and eateries on Main St closed early so had to drive back to the interstate to find a place open.
Pretty area, looks like shops are working to improve exteriors and there is a feeling of history and community."

"This is a very unique, historic hotel overlooking the scenic banks of the Ohio River. The room was cozy, clean and very comfortable. I also appreciated the second-floor balcony, which provided a lovely view of the river, as well as the complementary tea/coffee supplies. I highly recommend this traditional hotel, especially for history lovers and explorers in search of memorable experiences!"

"The room was beautiful and clean. Didn’t have one issue with anything not working or anything like that. Breakfast was WONDERFUL!! So so good. And I really enjoyed the outside area. So pretty. 10/10!!!"

"No contact check in, yet was greeted warmly by hostess explaining everything we needed. Beautiful, quiet place! In the area with my mother and daughter to spread my father's ashes where he loved to fish (dugger/ wampler lake area)for years. What an unexpected find. Daughter so enjoyed your(WELL!) stocked catch and release pond! Sure hope to get the opportunity to come stay again!!"

"The check in process was smooth & our host, Shannon, was there to greet us. It’s a terrific property that made for a very peaceful & comfortable respite. The property is extremely well maintained and managed & highly recommended. Near the Strand and close to the beach. Loved it!"
