"This place is wonderful. The hosts are so kind. They met us at the front of the hotel. We stayed a wonderful room and had a bottle of wine and pate’ in the garden. Prices were so reasonable. I would go there again and again. Tell them we said hello if you go by. So close to so many wonderful things. Make sure you go down by the river. It is so serene. We had a fabulous time."

"It’s a very animal friendly house as she has horses/dogs/birds/chickens and even a peacock!! The pool was a great relief after a long drive and that’s also where we enjoyed breakfast the following morning. The owner Laura was very nice and showed us to our rooms in the house with our own fans and bathroom (shower). We went for dinner at the local restaurant which was ok but next time I’d go in to Bourges town. It was very near a Super U, a carrefour which both had petrol and a Lidl for...

"The owners were very friendly and helpful. The location is great and the breakfast was fine. Our complaint is that our room did not have a closet or hangers, shelves, or draws for clothes."

"Owner was not answering the bell when we arrived in the stated window of 5 to 7 pm. Had to wait about 15 minutes to get in."

"Séjour parfait, seul regret, ne pas y avoir séjourné plus longtemps! Nous nous souviendrons de la gentillesse des hôtes, le confort de la chambre et le sublime petit déjeuner."

"Antoine and Francois were excellent hosts. Breakfast conversation was great, as well as the evning conversation and nightcap. I would most definitely recommend the Prieure as a place to stay."

"We stayed for one night in the family suite. Big living space and 2 good sized bedrooms with aircon in each room. Kitchen facilities as well. Plenty of parking. Easy self service check-in. Breakfast was included in our rate. Not a buffet style but plenty of breakfast provided which was continental. Location quiet but a bit out from the centre. We decided to get a uber there and back as it was supposedly a 20 + min walk to the old town. No on site staff, however all communication was excellent....

"Bel havre de sérénité. Accueil sympathique des hôtes. Confort de la chambre OK. Bien situé à proximité d'Amboise et de Tours."

"Lovely staff, wonderful breakfast and a perfect setting."

"Un grand merci au couple pour ce super séjour. Personnel chaleureux, à l'écoute, aux petits soins et bienveillant. Locaux très propres, espaces extérieurs très bien entretenus et agréables. Coin très calme, nous recommandons les yeux fermés. Info : chambres individuelles et mobil-home disponibles, n'hésitez pas à appeler directement. Nous retournerons là bas sans hésiter."

"Host was very helpful and friendly. Bedroom huge and very clean, this is a very traditional French home and is all the better for retaining original fixtures. Parking is on the road opposite the entrance to the property, not a problem at all. Well located minutes from centre of town with lots of restaurants , we used it as a stopover whilst heading south and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would highly recommend"
