"We were upgraded to a corner room with an oversized balcony looking out over the pool to the river. Spacious room, quiet, plenty of shelf and drawer space. The staff were amazing, Portuguese-friendly. Breakfast was very nice, with lots of hot and cold options including an omelet station. Location was very walkable to the Old Town, and also to the opposite side of the river and the Santa Clara monastery, plus walkways on both sides of the river."

"This is a great place to stay for an introduction to Nazare. Lots of dining options and cocktail bars in walking distance. It is also a short walk to the funicular that takes you to the top of the cliffs to see the church and lighthouse. "

"This was my second stay in this hotel, having stayed here previously back in 2018. Rooms were still as clean, and beds comfortable, as before. My latest stay was two nights in a family room (3 single beds). Breakfast spread was simple yet fulfilling. Staff were also friendly and helpful. But what’s most important was the hotel is within a short 5-10mins walking distance to the Sanctuary. It also had free parking near the entrance and in a garage. "

"Quinta das Lágrimas has such an important and interesting place in Portuguese history, which we enjoyed learning about during our stay. The old house and surrounding gardens are beautiful and romantic, even in the winter. "What a fantastic hotel! Central and easy to reach the castle and town. The receptionist, Fatima, was wonderful, and we had access to our room, two hours early. Fatima was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was spacious and bright, and immaculately clean. The bed was large and comfortable and the TV in a good position to watch from bed.
