The hotel is very conveniently placed right by the sandy beach. The room was very clean and generally the hotel areas are clean. The staff are very friendly and service was excellent. Could do with outside toilets and changing rooms, so guests wouldn't have to go back to their room after a swim.

Old style hotel, great staff and location

Property is a bit old style. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast and in general, food is good Location and s good and got its private beach and sunbeds etc. But its mainly for certain age group, mostly above 60 or so. Location is a good to go to Platanias as well as Chania, short cab or bus drive to both those places for bars, restaurants and night life.

My husband and I chanced upon this property as we looked for a beach hotel. Our first impression was met with a very warm welcome. During our stay we were so impressed we requested to extend our stay. Katerina was a wonderful host and this request was painless. Nothing is too much for her to make sure you are happy and comfortable and walks in and out of reception to the pool checking her guests needs are met. Excellent customer Service. The pool is clean and sparkling. Breakfast service impeccable. We are so impressed with this small private but comfortable hotel. Gold stars!

C’était bien pour un 4 étoiles, la porte de la douche avait l’air sale mais je crois que l’eau est dure.. Le personnel était vraiment sympathique ce qui a amélioré notre expérience. Le petit déjeuner inclus avec notre séjour varier et généreux mais pas le meilleur que nous avons eu!

Ticker av alle bokser for et flott opphold

Helt topp hotell, fantastisk beliggenhet rett på stranden med magisk service. Rene rom og godt vedlikeholdt, flott mat i restaurant og frokost buffe. Dette må man kunne klassifisere som et komplett pakke av kos og nytelse, uten å betale skjorta. Personale var meget imøtekommende og ga det lille ekstra som vi alltid ønsker.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and it was a last minute decision to book there. The position of the hotel is excellent - straight on the beach, with private beach of the hotel, and that’s exactly what we’ve booked this hotel for, together with the wish of having some fresh breeze and sound of the waves entering our room. For this we’ve originally booked a beachfront double, but managed to change for a suite, which had a large terrace overlooking the sea and the beach. As fantastic as it sounded, we could hardly keep the door to our terrace open, as our suite turned out to be just above/next to a kitchen, so instead of fresh air we’ve had smell of kitchen and some grill all the time. The hotel overall seemed to be something of an assembly line, in which there were so many guests, that, either because were not enough hands or time to clean the rooms thoroughly, the room didn’t give us an idea of freshness. The breakfast in the hotel is probably ticking all the boxes in terms of items to choose from in the breakfast buffet, but was very basic and didn’t impress us with the great quality. Then there was some language barrier, too, as a chef at the egg station didn’t manage to understand what “fried eggs” was. That said, the reception staff was friendly and the beach bar was fairly good. To sum up, great location, but only OK hotel.

Great location and amazing private beach. Hotel staff is extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel per se however is outdated. The pool area is not appealing and breakfast could have been better. The bedroom was old, but decent size. Balcony of our room was dirty and with a broken chair, and the bathroom was a little dirty.

The hotel is nice and staff very careful. Unfortunately the first room we had was directly on the very noisy street in front of the hotel and we couldn't sleep at all because of the noise. We asked if we could have an other room and the one we were given had its air conditionning broken...and it was 40 degrees outside. The room didn t get cooler then 30... when we informed the reception they said the technician came and said the air conditionning was working properly and the room was cool but not at all. So at the end, we didn t sleep for 3 days and all we got was a fan! I was so disapointed and it occulted all the friendly staff's effort to make our stay enjoyable.

The hotel was closed, but they didn't inform us

We made a reservation and received a confirmation from Hotels.com few weeks in advance, and our credit card was charged. Called the hotel the day before arrival just to ask a few informative questions. Someone answered the phone and told me that the hotel is closed for the season. Few hours after that, I received an email from the hotel that they are indeed closed and proposed to move me to an affiliated hotel (which did not meet our needs). So few hours before the flight, we had to find another place to stay and change our trip plans and itinerary. COULDN'T YOU TELL US THAT WHEN YOU RECEIVED THE RESERVATION? Called Hotels.com - they were not aware of the fact that the hotel is closed - in their view we had to pay the entire amount because they thought we checked in. Eventually, this was resolved, but that's certainly not the type of service you would expect
