My expectations were well exceeded by the fit out and finish of the property, the size and space and practical appointments for this accommodation. "We were meeting friends to go to the Highland games and there were little lodging available at a reasonable price. I was a little concerned about the bothies based on earlier reviews but we all loved it. One friend was very tall and in a bothies with lower ceilings so they offered a different one but they didn't mind. We all enjoyed the wood stoves, the environment, and the beds. "The hotel is situated next to the Strathspey railway in Boat of Garten. The presentation of the hotel is very good and gives an impression of a cosy country house. The Scottish heritage is present throughout the hotel and I particularly liked the tartan carpets. The room we stayed in was a Classic Room, number 115.
